Just so we're all on the same page.

My boat shed idea is to convert this building into a small library. The difference with this library is that it works with the idea of collage, the idea being that everyone would bring in their favourite books to add to the shelves therefore creating a small library containing everyone's favourite books that they would like other people to read. The back wall would be left bare for people to bring in their art based on the books that they've read to share with everyone. I decided on painting the floor with chalkboard paint so that people can write their favourite quotes or doodle all over the floor (since you can just wipe it to erase it which works a lot better than on straight concrete) and then when people leave they will leave chalky footprints.

I came up with this idea since I really love books and I'm always looking for new ones to read (usually ask my friends for recommendations, also a lot of my art I do is based from books) also this would be a great way for people to get together to discuss their favourite books, recommend and find new ones, share their fan art and favourite quotes and a good place to sit down and have a read on a fine day(book club like, but more modern and more suited to me and my friends) .
